As ANZAC Day approaches, there are several events throughout the States to honor the troops that served Australia and New Zealand.

There’s an ANZAC Day golf tournament in Calabasas, CA starting at 10am today.

There’s also an ANZAC Day barbeque in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Saturday.

The New York Magpies are throwing a huge ANZAC event aboard the Frying Pan in New York City all day on Saturday.

There’s an ANZAC networking even in Chicago on Thursday.

Services are also happening in Los Angeles and San Francisco on Sunday.

Fresh off their appearance on Saturday Night Live, Kimbra plays a free event at Bardot in Hollywood tonight and headlines the Troubador in Los Angeles on Tuesday, while Gotye headlines the Nokia Theater in LA on Thursday (Missy Higgins will be playing that show as well!)

Also in LA, The Aussie production Porky Pies continues this week.

The Australian Chamber Orchestra is touring America and playing Richmond, VA on Tuesday and Gainesville, FL on Friday.

Aussie singer/songwriter Harper plays West Virginia on Thursday, Virgina on Friday and North Carolina on Saturday.

Artist Peter Bastaja openes an exhibit at the Australian Consulate in New York on Wesnesday.

Men at Work’s Colin Hay rolls through Alexandria, VA on Friday and Saturday.

 The Book of Everything, put on by Belvoir, one of Australia’s most innovative and acclaimed theater company is playing this week in New York.

Koalapalooza continues in Portland, OR with a showing of Danny Deckchair on Sunday.

Keith Urban is to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday.
