What’s Happening This Week? March 26, 2012

Things are a little bit less hectic this week than last week, but there are still events galore that are worth checking out.

Melbourne transplant Kimbra plays a sold-out show at New York’s Mercury Lounge tonight and opens for collaborator Gotye at an equally sold-out Webster Hall tomorrow night. The two also hit Boston on Thursday.

Melbourne 2-piece Big Scary continue their run through New York tonight, playing a gig after Kimbra at Mercury Lounge and at Glasslands in Williamsburg tomorrow.

Paul Kelly can finally rest after finishing his A To Z tour in Seattle tonight and Portland tomorrow.

Psych-rockers Pond continue to tour with Oberhofer and hit Lincoln Hall in Chicago Tuesday night.

The Fox Gate Theater in Boulder, CO hosts rappers Hilltop Hoods on Tuesday.

The Temper Trap rolls through Manhattan’s Bowery Ballroom on Wednesday and Thursday as well as Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on Friday.

A reunited feedtime appears in New York for appearances at Death By Audio in Brooklyn on Thursday, Cake Shop in Manhattan on Saturday and Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ on Sunday.

Twerps join in the fray and take over the Mercury Lounge for a late show on Friday.

Finally, Aussies in the USA begin to get ready for ANZAC Day, and in New York  the New York Magpies are hosting their yearly  ANZAC Day event. Don’t forget to buy your tickets here before they’re all gone.
