For those of you in and around New York City, the CMJ Music Marathon starts tomorrow and runs through the weekend. You can find our guide to the festival here. For those in other areas of the United States, don’t fret, there’s still plenty going on!

Singer Xavier Ruddd brings his tour to Hollywood tonight, Austin on Wednesday, Ft. Worth on Thursday, Asheville on Saturday and Atlanta on Sunday.

Twerps hit Philadelphia tonight, Washington D.C. on Wednesday and New York for CMJ on Friday.

The Jezabels are in Ann Arbor, MI tonight, New York City for CMJ on Wednesday, Cambridge, MA on Thursday and Washington D.C. on Friday.

You can attend a seminar on the Australian financial market tonight in Boston.

The Temper Trap‘s tour keeps rolling along. They play Carrboro, NC on Tuesday, Nashville on Thursday, Atlanta on Friday and Miami on Sunday.

Australian Women in New York is having a wine tasting event on Tuesday.

Aussie contemporary bluegrass group The Green Cards play a show in Vienna, VA on Wednesday.

Australians in Washington host a “Thirsty Thursday” on Thursday in Arlington, VA.

Advance holds their regular “Word of Mouth” drinks in the OC this Thursday as well.

Formed in 1977, Crime and the City Solution is embarking on a reunion tour in the United States. It hits Denver on Thursday, Dallas on Friday and Chicago on Sunday.

Halloween’s still a little way off, but there’s an Aussie horror flick called Crawlspace playing at Screamfest in Los Angeles on Thursday.

There’s another talk at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire on Friday, this time about Yalangbara. On Saturday, they’re also holding a lecture about Aboriginal artwork.

The University of Western Australia Alumni Group in America is holding its annual Cocktails and Dinner in New York City on Friday.

Of course, the Aussie BBQ hits New York City on Saturday for CMJ. There are 24 acts running all day, so be sure to check it out if you can!

The Sapphires, a movie about four Aboriginal sisters who formed a girl group in the 1960′s is featured this Saturday at the Philadelphia Film Festival, the Columbia Film Festival in Chatham, NY, and the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival. It has an encore showing in Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday as well.
